We were recently joined in the canoe shop by a young wood worker interested in building his own canoe. Currently we are working our way through the building process: bending the stem bands, preparing the ribs, steaming and bending ribs during the Christmas school break, and now planking the canoe. A great project for a young person to experience and a wonderful creation to enjoy for a lifetime. To follow Tyler's progress see
