Each brass nail must be clinched with a hammer and brass clinching iron

The canoe gets hung in the canvas...

...and is weighed down to stretch the canvas

 after given time to stretch, Tyler tacks the canvas to the inside gunnel

 Putting on the fill 



 The canoe is ready to dry for 2 weeks, giving time to complete seats, thwarts and gunnels
